Quote Of The Decade

"As you get older you'll find your desire to see shit [movies] disintigrates and your abilities to avoid it grow in leaps and bounds. I'd rather play with my kid and make comics than go see Hilary Duff movies."

-Brian Michael Bendis

Sorry you had to see that movie. Even the previews made me fall asleep, or scream in pain. But Batman Begins was awesome, and I wanted to see it again, but the girlfriend wanted to see Mr. and Mrs. Smith (save yourself if you haven't already seen it). And again, didn't mean to take a shot at you for the artwork. It was just meant to be a question of why the art changed all of a sudden. My apology is commented on the 22 of June.

Actually, I was going to comment but thought it best to leave it to the Artist himself. Now, belatedly, I will.

John's nephew asks how he got to be so good. He says that he draws every day. Only by doing something every day will you get better at it. To a nine-year-old this sounds tedious, but it's true. There's no magic bullet.

So the art isn't so much changing as evolving. And I didn't see you as pushing buttons. Believe me, you are fine compared with some people. But thanks for understanding, and for loving the comic (almost) as much as we do.
