It's True. Haley Bhairavi is Really Carol Bradley.

You'll find out how it happened starting with Friday's strip. And I planned it this way ever since this comic. You can look back through this story arc so far (which finally has a title) for the little clues that have been there all along.

Did I surprise anyone? Or did you all see it coming a mile away? Let me know through the comments link below or post in the Forums.

Nope, didn't see it coming at all...maybe I'm just dense.

OMG. That was the most shocking one ever.

I have to admit that I suspected something at first. But the whole intelligence thing eventually threw me. I mean Carol's supposed to be dumber than a post. Did she receive the same chip that Ceasar had? I went back through the whole arc and the only clues I saw were in these strips:

Now that I look at the April 29 strip in the 4th panel she does act exactly like Carol (body language)when she gets close.

In the May 11th strip I don't see any clues and I can't see it in the May 20th strip either

Sometime during the day this Saturday, I will post a strip that will clip together the panels with all of the clues explained.

The pout in panel 6 on May 13th, when Alan's talking about her exotic-ness--that was the give-away for me. *grins* Very good--I'm looking forward to the backstory.

Say WHAT ?! Man, how dense am I, I didn't even pick up that Haley say's "This is CAROL" in the final frame !

*Looks left*

I never gave up on my darling Carol... I first suspected it around the time they said that nobody had been killed when that satellite crashed...

hahahahaha I didn't notice when she said she was Carol either... it really took me by surprise, the only clue that I saw but I took it as another type of "dark secret" was when she gets sad when Alan is talking about how intelligent and great she is and how he could've never found someone like that around there.

Okay, now that I'm thinking about it more, Carol had a fixation on the whole "Older man" thing, with her ongoing affair with Thornhill . . . So the same person has gone from Sugar Daddies to Alan . . . ? Unless I need to read back over the older strips . . . Am I missing something in the character, that's a major personality shift ! Maybe I'm just being picky. It wouldn't be the first time !

Looking back, the clues are all there. Which is really aggravating now that I know, because it was just STARING me in the face !

Dr. Phil, remember she also dated 'Thumbs,' the deliveryman/thug-for-hire. It's not exactly a 'personality shift'; I myself dated a variety of 'types' when I was single. Many different 'types' can complement a person (and often you don't know until you try it out).

Perhaps the one that would complement her best was there all along...?

Yeah, the whole point of the stripper story way back when was to break up Carol and Roger. I kind of consider that the end of her "Sugar Daddy" phase.

Hmm, I haven't really used Roger for a while. Gonna have to find something for him to do...

I thought she looked like Carol a few times, but didn't even consider that she was Carol.

Ah. Much obliged to the Lees. The character arc of Carol becomes a little clearer . . . through the looking glass !

WOW, this is possibly the biggest surprise iv ever seen in any webcomic. Seriously. And i read a lot of webcomics. It was so surprising that when Haley said she was Carroll, i just figured it was a code name. I was really disappointed when i thought you were going to leave the whole Carroll thing hanging, but i have to admit, this was worth it

Thanks! Lots of people thought "killing" Carol was a mistake, but by the end of this story, I think everyone will understand what the purpose was.
