If You Clicked Over Here From Blank Label Comics...

Thanks and Welcome. I just wanted those of you who are new to Suburban Tribe to know that it usually is funny. Really. I'm just in the middle of trying to wrap something up here.

This little 10-strip story is one of my personal favorites. I recommend reading it to get an idea of what our typical shenannigans are like.

Stop apologising for not being funny. If you stop being interesting, you can start apologising. But that hasn't happened yet, and your latest story arc has been the best thing I've seen from Suburban Tribe so far.

Dude, relax. Ditto what Tobermory said. This whole story arc has been great. Quit worrying that all your readers are going to run away like bored 3 year-olds if you don't make a joke daily. The effort you've put into the storytelling is evident and much appreciated. So no more excuses.

A shout out to you and all your peeps in the Bluegrass State. Being from the northern region of the Commonwealth myself, it's nice to see someone else with a web presence who understand the liquid perfection that is Maker's Mark. :)

I'd just like to say you don't have to be from Kentucky to like Maker's Mark, although I will admit it was brought to my attention by a Kentuckian. It is good stuff.

Oh, and yea, no worries about teh funy. I think most people understand any story has to balance humor with drama.

Thanks for your reassurances, guys. I guess the thing I don't like about no punch lines lately is that I kind of create the strip to be something that *I* would want to read, and I don't really seek out the "drama" relationship strips.

Plus, the last few weeks of the comic have been really continuity-intensive, which can be intimidating to new readers.

What are you guys talking about? There's plenty of sophomoric humour in this current strip... what about that silent fart Alan let out when Carol hugged him tight in panel five? ROFL! LOLLERCAUST!! John is awesome!!

Wow, glad you liked that strip, Scott. I thought it was funny too, but it was the last one to run right before I went on a month-long hiatus, and since I didn't hear a peep about it, I thought it must've fallen flat on its face.
