Haley = Carol = Haley REMINDER

Sometime during the day tomorrow (Saturday, 6/11) I will post a "clip strip" that will feature all of the panels in this story arc that had little clues or lines with hidden/double meanings that imply Haley's true identity. So log on this weekend and see if you think I was as clever as I thought I was. :)

I think you were. I was totally expecting any dark secret Haley had to be something entirely different. Carol never even entered my mind....

I like today's explanation comic. Simple, intelligent, logical and FUNNY AS HELL! :D

Okay, okay, okay, I think I'm getting the hang of this. Is it possible that Carol before was just ordinary ol' dumb-ass lovable carol, but after the satellite crash, she was "kidnapped" if you will by the military, and trained as a superspy ?! So now she's this ultra-clever and rather indian looking lass . . .

Kinda like La Femme Nikita . . .

If I'm right, it's startin' to all make seeeeeeeeeense ! If I'm wrong . . . well, I guess it'll make sense soon !

I've been reading Suburban Tribe for a long time, but Haley being Carol is such a stroke of genius that I finally had to sign up to post. Bravo, John!

I'm not really buying the first two. I mean there are a lot of "shooting star" artists with only one album and the "EEEEEE!!" is a Briteneyspearesque reaction(no that's not a word but I'm using it anyway :P ) that you'd expect from a person with a new album meeting her first fanclub.

But the others are clear.

And who are the two readers that caught on?

ElMaco and Real Life friend Knox were the ones who clued in to what was going on. Usually, the "El" boys know what's coming, but I didn't tell them this time.

Okay, where are all the others who claim to know? Are they related to the same people who supposedly were there reading the very first strip? C'mon, there are always those who say, 'Oh yeah, I knew all along...'

Well, I knew...

You were the only one I told.

Also Gil, your interpretation of the first two incidents is valid, but I intentionally wrote them as double-entendres.

I will say that panel where she looked sad at the "worldly" comment really puzzled me. I could not figure out how that could possibly upset her when it was so positive. Now it makes sense. The cat questions make a little more sense too but, again, they make some degree of sense from the Haley secret agent direction too.

So I'll say there was nothing to contradict it and the one panel that definitely hints at it because all of the others work while taking "Haley" at face value.

Excellent comic, John. For what it's worth, this is one of five webcomics I follow and I think you have the sharpest drawing around.

Thank you very much, man. I'm trying to take advantage of the 3-strips-a-week schedule to improve my art.
