Suburban Tribe

Your Eyes Do Not Deceive You.

That is a Suburban Tribe strip up there.

This is the first page of a Suburban Tribe story that will run in a print anthology next summer. It is a flashback story that takes place in between the end of the very first ST story arc and the beginning of the second one. No Jessica, no Haley, no McWhiskey.

These strips are going to look a little different. I want to freshen up the look of the characters and compose the comics as actual comic book pages rather than strips - complete with more backgrounds and more dynamic compositions. (please no cracks about today's comic being a talking head against a gradient. I'm referencing this guy.) Web comics finally seem as if they are starting to gel somewhat, and I think artists that want to be taken seriously are going to have to step up their game a little bit.

I am not sure of the exact update schedule, but I am shooting for 2 of these double-sized strips twice a week until this story is complete. However, when I set Nov. 19 as the start/return date, I didn't account for Thanksgiving this Thursday. I'll do my best, but it may be next Monday before the ball is really rolling on the updates.

Anonymous trolling aside, I think the blog entry went up before the comic did. :)

You're refferincing Hitchcock as "this guy"? The master of murder? The artis of horror? THE FUCKING H AND YOU'RE SAYING "THIS GUY"

2:36 PM, you're truly overestimating the great majority of webcomics readers.

Henceforth all references to Alfred Hitchcock on this blog will be made as "The Fucking H". Those with more delicate sensibilities are permitted to use "The Effing H". All caps is optional.

Good to see the strip back.

By the way did you watch Razor, or buy it on DVD? There are a couple of potential spoilers for the previous season which you haven't seen yet, but nothing that will ruin the season for you. Anyway, it was pretty damn good even if the new character wasn't that interesting. You should check it out if you didn't already.

I forgot how much I missed the word Frack.
