I'm not dead, just juggling.
And juggling is for circus clowns.
So says Media Artist Secrets host Franklin McMahon. What he is referring to is the false notion that multitasking - working on more than one project at a time - is productive, when in fact, all you do when you "multitask" is take a little nibble out of many projects while delaying the completion of any one of them into infinity.
Multitasking is what I've been doing, when I haven't been catching up on all those awesome TV shows that I've been missing on DVD. Battlestar Galactica just blew me away, and I even have my Dad hooked on it. (When the hell is season 3 coming out on DVD? I'm dying here.)
Anyway, I figured out that hopping from one project to the next was accomplishing nothing, so I decided to rearrange things a little.
The final script for the Empyreal Fall excerpt was completed just a few hours ago, and it's ready to be drawn. Eleven pages of 11"x 17" full-sized comic book story, to be included in the forthcoming anthology, and you will be able to preview it here. I'm happy with it and my wife, who isn't a sci-fi/fantasy fan likes it, so I'm feeling pretty good about it.
Suburban Tribe will return to this site as soon as I complete the Empyreal Fall anthology chapter - tentatively mid-November - and it will be a new story that will also be featured in the anthology. It's a stand-alone story in the vein of Hitchcock and fans of Caesar will like it a lot, I hope.
So that's what I've been up to. Thanks to everyone that keeps coming back here to check up on things.

Great! I'm in the habit so I still check your site every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Can't wait to see the new stuff!
Always good to have some news.
excellent! Glad to hear things are moving along!
YES!
Also I won't spoil BSG season 3 but it doesn't really live up to the other ones.
More Suburban Tribe! YES!
I have to agree more suburban tribe is exactly what we need this Christmas Season. And is your wife doing better now?

Dude, I check the site every day. It takes years to shake me loose.
John:
Glad to read that things are moving along for you.
I'm looking forward to seeing your latest project(s).
As far as a print edition goes I'd go for the super-size trade with all the bells & whistles.
I've really enjoyed the way you've presented the inside workings of an ad agency. The fact that I used to work in the industry makes it even funnier, particularly when one sees that idiots are apparently in graphic arts in Louisville as well as the Metro D.C. area. Must be a small gene pool, eh?
Someone else had suggested affiliating with Blank Label comics, it seems like a good idea to me also. However it goes, whatever you decide, good luck and thanks for the laughs.
Oh yeah -- Tiffany's twin sister is alive, psychotic and living in Alexandria, VA. Or was several years ago when I left the area.
;)
