Pledge Drive postponed. Again.
UPDATE: Carol's pinup is well uderway. Click on the pic for a closer look.I had to work the Day Job Saturday and Sunday, and will probably end up working late on Monday night (10/17) too.
Everything is in place; Paypal donation code, the links and banners and page full of goodies (incentive prizes) but I haven't had time to color the limited edition prints. Hopefully, I can kill this deadline this Monday night and end some of this craziness.
For now, I'll put the start of the Pledge Drive at Monday the 24th. That way, if I can get the ball rolling before then, it will be a pleasant surprise.
Here's a list of the random prizes and liited-edition stuff I'm going to offer. Limited edition merchandise will only be available during the pledge drive:
One grand prize: A night out in Louisville with myself, "Skip" and "Dave," plus a guest appearance in a Suburban Tribe comic strip
One second prize: Guest appearance in a Suburban Tribe comic strip

Two random prizes: Original art used in the Tiffany and Carol limited-edition prints

If the real-life inspirations are anything like the characters Skip and Dave, the person who gets the coffee mug may have dodged a bullet.
Yeah, I told John that Skip would be the reliable one there, even with one and a half kids at home.

Alas, the travel expense for the grand prize is the one expense we won't cover. But since the American dollar is in such bad shape, your plane ticket over here would probably cost less than the hotel room and the dinner bill!
If it helps... I, occasional guest blogger and board fixture, can also show up for that night on the town. Well, my stalking of El Jefe would mean I'd be there anyway, but it means I won't have to hide behind various potted plants.
The more, the merrier. Just be sure to bring ElMacho a pack of Menthols. The long, skinny kind, like the middle-aged drag queens smoke. He loves those.
so how does this work? Whoever just throws the most money at John? I'll do my best, but I'm piss broke.
Some prizes will be random, no matter how much you donate. Others will have minimum donation limits as a requirement. I'm not sure how the grand prize will be awarded yet, though.
