The Pledge Drive is underway

Check out this page for some cool incentive merchandise and some cool prizes.

And remember: YOU DON'T HAVE TO DONATE A LOT TO MAKE THIS PLEDGE DRIVE A ROUSING SUCCESS. If every unique visitor to this site per week donated $1.00(US) I could:

- Make my house payment for 5 months!
- Pay for hosting for Suburban Tribe for 41 years!

So if you think this comic is worth $1.00 a year, please consider making a donation now.

So hey, I have a question. If I do donate the $50 plus to win a night out with da boyz (which would be awesome because I live in Louisville), but don't get my name picked out of the hat, can I come anyway @___@? Um, I'm a cute girl artist and I love the strip and the Irish Rover and I just turned 21 so I'd actually be able to order a drink there and um, yeah. Prty plz with sugar and a cherry on top?

Does "cute girl artist" mean "artist working in the genre of cute girls, like Boucher, Fragonard and Varga," or "cute girl who is an artist"? Because either one would be cool, but one is significantly cooler than the other.

Congratulations, John. Glad to have the opportunity to contribute.

@ Rasselas

Best of both worlds: I'm a cute girl who does art of cute girls. Pinups are my favorite form of art, especially the old retro stuff. Back when women looked like WOMEN, lotsa curves and dimples and softness. I love looking at them and drawing them and I am crazy about the carol and tif pinups . . . if I don't donate the $50+ for the night out opportunity, I will at least try to get a set of those prints.

Kelly, for what it's worth, my mom swears the Haley pinup was based on my body.

Hey, who isn't?

Yeah, I'll just go ahead and say that anyone who donates and lives here in Louisville who wants to come along on the grand prize trip can go, BUT they'll be paying their own way and the winner and myself will co-ordinate final date.

Congratulations, John. Glad to have the opportunity to contribute.

Thanks for contributing!

Man... at least *credit* NPR when you do the "So if you think ______ is worth $1.00 a year, please consider making a donation now." line. ;-)

When I read my own posts, I imagine Robert Siegel's voice.

Did I just type that or think it?

Funny... I did 2/3 of the places from the grand prize on Saturday. Would it be un-manly of me to get the Raspberry Trifle while drinking at the Rover?

Probably, but don't let that stop you.

Ok Kelly, I'll wear my Betty Page outfit on the outting!! I rarely get a chance to wear it outside due to court orders.

You promised you wouldn't embarrass me! :(

Actually, the Heine Bros. thing did cross my mind. But bars in Louisville are open till four, so it won't be long till they open after that.

Don't tell me you eat at the Twig and Leaf ;___; I worked for that psycho for ten months, finally left (in the middle of a shift, along with the only cook and other sever). Best thing I ever did, although I did love the place itself. I try to get people to stop giving them business, they are seriously not cool people and I don't trust the food there anymore.

Between the raspberry trifle and giggling like a schoolgirl, I feel the need to check you out in person.
