So Far, Not So Good. PLEASE READ!
Okay, here's the situation.
My Day Job has several intense Drop-deadlines that I have to meet this week because my wife and I are taking next week off. It will be our first vacation since the Honeymoon early last year. These deadlines were unexpected by me.
On top of working until 11 tonight, I had to go to the hospital because my Mom was taken to the E.R. for chest pains.
I really, really want to get the next two strips up ASAP; they contain an important plot twist. Will I be able to do it before our vacation? I don't know, but I sure aim to try. The strips are written and about 1/3 drawn.
It all depends on how things shake out with work and my Mother, who was admitted to the hospital tonight.
I do have plans and content for the site during my Vacation week, but I'll post about that on Friday.
Thanks, again, for your patience. I miss the strip more than you do.

Take your time John - family is more important.
Best wishes to your Mum.
No problem. Family comes first!
Maybe you could do some guest stips or some other trick that others do in these situations.
Well you can't very well do the strip if you lose your job, plus I can't blame you for putting your mother(whom I hope is o.k.) before a comic. DOn't get wrong I love the strip, but you gotta have priorities(sp?)
Perspective man, perspective. The comic can wait. Your mom, your wife and your day job totally take priority.
I echo everyone here in saying "Take you time."
Family is important. Also, we want the best strips possible, not rushed ones. Take care of what's important, do the right. We'll still be here.
To hell with the strip. Take care of your family man!
*prays for your mom.
Take your time. Family first, then day job, then the comic. We can wait.
If you can't meet your plans for friday, postpone them, set your site on full hiatus for one week and enjoy your holidays. You'll be relaxed and happy after a week off, and only a happy cartoonist is a good cartoonist. We all appreciate your efforts, but your marriage and your dayjob are far more important, and everyone here knows that.
I hope your mum is o.k., all the best wishes to her!
Thanks for everyone's well-wishes. My mom came home tonight and it doesn't look like it was anything serious. More comics and other Tomfoolery to come in the next few days.
