I'm not dead, just juggling.
And juggling is for circus clowns.
So says Media Artist Secrets host Franklin McMahon. What he is referring to is the false notion that multitasking - working on more than one project at a time - is productive, when in fact, all you do when you "multitask" is take a little nibble out of many projects while delaying the completion of any one of them into infinity.
Multitasking is what I've been doing, when I haven't been catching up on all those awesome TV shows that I've been missing on DVD. Battlestar Galactica just blew me away, and I even have my Dad hooked on it. (When the hell is season 3 coming out on DVD? I'm dying here.)
Anyway, I figured out that hopping from one project to the next was accomplishing nothing, so I decided to rearrange things a little.
The final script for the Empyreal Fall excerpt was completed just a few hours ago, and it's ready to be drawn. Eleven pages of 11"x 17" full-sized comic book story, to be included in the forthcoming anthology, and you will be able to preview it here. I'm happy with it and my wife, who isn't a sci-fi/fantasy fan likes it, so I'm feeling pretty good about it.
Suburban Tribe will return to this site as soon as I complete the Empyreal Fall anthology chapter - tentatively mid-November - and it will be a new story that will also be featured in the anthology. It's a stand-alone story in the vein of Hitchcock and fans of Caesar will like it a lot, I hope.
So that's what I've been up to. Thanks to everyone that keeps coming back here to check up on things.
