Today's strip is dedicated to my Dad
...who drove out to help me replace my busted hot water heater and slaved away until 1am this morning.
You don't have to be Sherlock Holmes to make the leap that this is why the strip is late today. I'm not trying to make a habit of posting late on Wednesdays, I swear.
Not to mention that the strip database broke yesterday as well and it was well into this morning before the repairs were viewable across the globe. But all's well that ends well.
Also, several people have transcribed many strips for the new ohnorobot search engine. Thanks to everyone who has participated so far. If you see a strip in the archive that does NOT have the transcribe link under it, that means that the transcription for that strip is complete.
Okay, back to work!

1,000,000 x thank you, J.E.!
This strip's gag is very familiar... it reminds me of some other company I know...
Not to be picky, I've always loved the comic, but what Christie says in the third panel "I don't where you'd find one" I think a word got dropped.
Christy looks like she could be a pre-op tranny. And I almost dismissed this, if it weren't for the hamsters part. :)

Hey, no problem! You weren't the first to notice, believe me :) It's fixed now.

Yes. America sure has a litigious society, doesn't it? :)
I suspect I'm about to become incredibly grateful that I don't work in the american corporate world, but what, in the world, is a TMI report ?
John, you're contagious. :)
My hot water heater is in the process of dying also.
Your current story line with Y&P takes me back to the late seventies when I was photo director of a small shop and had to deal with various ADs and ARs.
By the way, is the comic taking on a more horror related course, what with more and more people turning into monsters recently? :)
Joking, of course.

TMI report is something I made up. It's like the infamous internal, time wasting TPS reports featured in "Office Space", except I just changed the letters around. And yes, you should be grateful.

Knowing my dad, if he reads this, he'll likely end up driving over to your house to help you install it.

In all seriousness; this kind of stuff was going on in the 70's? I was under the impression that it was the mid-to-late Eighties that the American office got to be such a sewer.

Good catch... I'm trying to draw comparisons between Christie and Tiffany for reasons you'll read about later.
Thank you!
