Suburban Tribe
The Mac ate my Homework
UPDATE: Comics resume tomorrow (Friday, 5/30.) My mac may or may not be back by then, but I got tired of waiting and just started the strips over from scratch. Thanks for everyone's patience.
Where did last Friday and Monday's strips go? Well, long story short: My MacBook ate them and it is winging it's way to an Apple repair depot a couple of states away. In the meantime, I got CRAZY busy with leftover freelance assignments over the holiday weekend.
More thorough post to come. Comics will be back next week, along with more podcasts.
Sorry! :(
I refuse to call it a "vlog."
Wanted to write a post about a few things, but thought I would make a video podcast out of it instead. This way, you get to watch me draw while listening to my voice at the same time. Who says the internet is fostering solipsism?
Iron Man Podcast
Finally got Suburban Tribe Live running again last night, and I had a few things to say about the Iron Man movie, comic book movies in general, storytelling and writing, and some things in Suburban Tribe's future. I recorded the broadcast and you can watch it below. Tune in Thursday night for another ep!
About Last Night...
I intended to have a new recorded session of Suburban Tribe Live here today, but the universe was working against me. I know that everyone and their dog saw Iron Man over the weekend and I had some more to say about it other than "Kick-ass!" "Best comic movie ever!" etc., etc. I wanted to say it in the podcast while I was drawing and I had notes and everything.
However, I got a late start, Painter kept crashing on me, Ustream was having audio issues and over the last week, my 4-month old daughter has developed the ability to get by on less sleep than my dad needed when he was in Basic Training.
So I'll try another podcast/broadcast tomorrow night, and you can join in on the conversation live or listen/watch the recorded session on Wednesday morning. Subscribe to my RSS and/or Twitter feeds to be notified when the show starts (probably around 9pm, EDT.)
Suburban Tribe Live TONIGHT!
Around 6-7pm EST. I'll be inking and coloring Monday's strip and have some things to say about comics and comic book movies!
