Suburban Tribe
Check out my World of Warcraft Comic
Recently got back into WoW and decided to commemorate by entering their monthly comic contest. Here's hoping I at least get an honorable mention; I mostly did this for the exposure, anyway.
Click here to read the entire comic.
Also, don't forget to check out my new sketchblog. It updates daily.
Okay, I'm going to see The Prestige. I don't care what Variety says, It's Nolan, dammit!
Have a good weekend!
Double Dose Monday!
UPDATE: You can view my new Sketchblog at http://johnleesketch.blogspot.com. There are three entries to start. The plan is a sketch or some kind of visual art everyday. Let me know what you guys think!
Friday's strip is here, so skip back to get two Suburban Tribe comics for the price of one (that is, free) today. Sorry it took so long to get caught up, but these latest strips took some research, as you can no doubt tell by the costuming.
Also, I will officially jump on the sketchblog bandwagon later today and launch my daily sketch site. It's time to get serious about my drawing and digital painting, and this sketchblog will feature at least one "warm-up" sketch posted by me daily. Yes, daily, as in Sunday through Saturday. Check back later today for the official URL.
Sorry!
There was no strip Monday because I was up to my nose in ActionScript deadlines. It got to the point where I didn't even want to break my concentration long enough to post a blog explaining my tardiness.
However, the deadlines have passed, and you can see that the current strip is dated for this past Monday. There WILL be three strips this week, (I have to stay on schedule for my print editions) but I don't know if they will all be up by Friday or Sunday, so you'll just have to keep checking in.
In the meantime, it's pretty clear by looking at the most recent comic that my drawing skills are taking a backseat to all this programming I'm doing. I'm seriuosly considering following Mike Krahulik's lead and putting up a sketch/art site where you'll be able to find a daily drawing done by me. That way I'll be forced to practice drawing every day.
Thanks for your patience, everyone.
This year's Halloween story starts Friday!
And if you grew up watching a certain Saturday morning cartoon in the 80's, you're in for a treat.Meanwhile, I'm still here. Been fighting a cold that I no doubt picked up while teaching, but I'm still here. I remembered that I still owe you guys a Flash video showing my lettering and coloring process. I'll try and dig it up sometime today, if my workload lets up.But now, time for bed...
